If you visit the state of Georgia in the United States you will experience a state full of the culture and history of the country. This is a variety of places to go and activities to do in this state. You can visit a lot of places in Georgia, like state parks, beaches, mountain trails, charming streets, and others. If you are fond of art then you should definitely go to the town of Blue Ridge. Because of the many arts and crafts galleries and live music performance you can enjoy, the place was fondly nicknamed ‘Switzerland of the South.’ Around this small town is a wooden area where you can go trail hiking with your friends and you can also pas by the Ocoee River where you can enjoy a round of kayaking.
Adjacent to the Calloway Gardens resort which is lush with gardens, lakes and golf courses, is the town of Pine Mountain. You can visit the locals in the town proper where you can get a taste of southern cuisine, antique shops and plenty of other local shops. From Savannah, you can drive to Tybee Island which is an island of pure sandy beaches and sand dunes. Water and land activities are plenty in this 22 square mile island. You can also sit along the beachfront and enjoy the view from the island.
If you want to go trail hiking through the Cohutta Mountains of Georgia you can follow the Panther Creek Trail for a great hiking adventure with your friends. There are majestic waterfalls to view along the trail which are breathtaking and these falls flow in multiple tiers to a pool of water down below which is crystal clear. Here you can spend time in quiet meditative amid the gentle, relaxing sound of the waterfalls. The many campsites around would be a great place to enjoy the place with your friends.
